Current transformers

CR and CRR (detachable) low power current transformers are used for measurement and protection in low, medium and high voltage power grids. Owing to their very good electric parameters, small weight and compact size, they replace traditional core transformers. CRR series transformers are detachable and thus enable easy installation, in particular on previously installed cables and insulators.
CR and CRR current transformers with a –T marking at the end of their name are thermally offset, which balances natural resistance changes of the copper exposed to temperature.
The transformers developed at the Institute using PCB (Printed Circuit Board) technology are characterised by a stable and repeatable conversion coefficient (sensitivity) in a wide range of the currents measured.
Due to their wide measuring range, high accuracy and wide measuring band, CR and CRR transformers are also used in devices for analysing the quality of electricity.
All CR and CRR transformers comply with the requirements of the RoHS directive.

Advantages:

Current transformers are constructed in 0.5 class. It is also possible to order class 0.2.
